Private guided tour – Museum Engiadinais

Museum Engiadinais / Engadiner Museum

from CHF 65.00

The Museum Engiadinais is a total work of art for an Engadine collection. On a private guided tour you will learn why the Museum Engiadinais is more than just a museum and what is so special about it.

The museum's founder, Riet Campell, commissioned the renowned architect Nicolaus Hartmann (1880-1956) to design and build a museum building for his extensive collection of original interiors and furnishings. The museum, which opened in 1906, contains panelled parlours from the Engadine and neighbouring regions, a state room from the Valtellina, a stately kitchen and a bedchamber. Since the renovation and gentle expansion of the museum, several display collections and a permanent exhibition on the Rhaeto-Romanic language offer in-depth insight into the collection holdings. The immobile holdings of the collection are also shown off to fresh advantage thanks to the new staging.
