Ice Skating St. Moritz

Ice skating is an activity which cannot be missing in any ski resort. An ideal way to enjoy for both children and adults. When the winter comes, the Lake of St. Moritz freezes and turns into a huge natural ice rink (0.78 km²). Immediately hundreds of tourists and inhabitants of St. Moritz rush to the rink with their ice skating equipment. There are security staff who monitor y control the quality and quantity of lake ice, and it is prohibited to carry out any activity until it is completely safe. Ice Climbing at Corn da Diavolezza

The ice climbing is an extreme activity only suitable for the most adventurous. In Engadine there is an artificially maintained ice wall, with a length of 100 metres and inclination between 70 and 100 degrees. It is known as Corn da Diavolezza. Every year an event is held where 25 European teams compete with each other to be the fastest at conquering the impressive Corn da Diavolezza. Winter Fishing in St. Moritz

Ice fishing in the Engadin is a delightful experience: frozen Lake Sils offers the perfect spot for enjoying a few hours of total relaxation, surrounded by nature. Wrapped in windproof clothing, you walk out onto the ice, which is about 40 cm thick. Not too far, because the fish you hope to catch does not live in the middle of the lake, 80 m deep, but favours the lake bed near the shore.
